Chancellor's Autumn Statement: January's fuel duty increase cancelled

Organisations have given a cautious welcome to the cancellation of the 3p per litre fuel duty increase planned for January 2013.
The Chancellor of the Exchequer, George Osborne, announced in his Autumn Statement that the 3.02p per litre increase, which had already been deferred, would be cancelled.
IAM chief executive Simon Best said: “Cancelling the rise in fuel duty will help to keep Britain’s economy moving. It’s not just good news for motorists - from supermarket food deliveries to life-saving emergency services, the nation depends on its roads. This is a saving for everyone."
