Winn Solicitors Celebrate 10th Anniversary in Support of St Oswalds Hospice

Winn Solicitors celebrated our 10th Anniversary at the Hilton Newcastle Gateshead Hotel with over 550 business guests and staff. Guests were greeted by stilt walkers and show girls as they were handed a glass of champagne and ushered into the “Ice & Fire” themed room.

As the champagne flowed guests were entertained by encore dance troupe, arcade games and a magician. A vodka luge in the shape of the Winn Solicitors logo and a 4ft by 4ft 10th anniversary cake were available to guests.

Guests and staff came together to celebrate a terrific 10 years and allow Winn Solicitors Directors Jeff Winn, Ghazala Bashey, Dawn Winn and Chris Birkett to thank everyone for their contribution to the company’s success.

A raffle was held on the night to raise money for St Oswalds Hospice with a variety of excellent prizes kindly donated, including an iPad 2 and HD Television. In total £3000 was raised for the charity.

“The money raised will help St Oswald’s to provide specialist care for adults, young people and children. They are a local charity situated in Gosforth, caring for patients with life limiting conditions such as cancer and motor neurone disease. There is no charge for any of St. Oswald’s services; ensuring hospital care is available to everyone.” - Lyn Cains, St. Oswalds Hospice.

In 2002 Jeff Winn and Ghazala Bashey established Winn Solicitors with just 10 employees; the firm has grown enormously over the past 10 years. The company has moved to a large 25,000 sq ft building and now employs over 250 staff.
