Europcar signs sponsorship deal with the Gunners

Hot on the tyres of Chevrolet’s multi-million pound sponsorship deal with Manchester United, global rental company Europcar has now announced a brand partnership with Arsenal F.C.

Europcar’s agreement gives them promotional rights in territories ranging from South Africa to the USA, Europe and sections of Asia and Latin America.

The FA Cup champions and winners of August’s Community Shield, Arsenal are highly tipped to build on the success of last season having strengthened their squad this summer. And Europcar hope to capitalize on this success with heavy branding presence at both Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium and through their online marketing channels.

More than 3 million people attend games at Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium and the club has an estimated 27.4 million fans on Facebook and 4.2 million followers on Twitter.

Speaking about the brand visibility afforded by the partnership, Europcar’s Managing Director, Ken McCall stated:

“This is a tremendously exciting partnership for Europcar. It gives us fantastic branding opportunities in the UK, and also reaching millions of football fans who follow the Premier League throughout the world.”

But the partnership is not just limited to advertising rights. Europcar promise to help fans travelling to away games find rental solutions as part of their commitment. McCall continues,

“We are confident that this relationship will enable us to significantly increase reservations as well as raise the bar on our engagement with both consumer and business customers.”
